FILE ENCRYPTION

Encryption Plus software protects valuable data on notebooks and PCs from unauthorized access and use by encrypting the data on the local drives. After Encryption Plus is installed the user is prompted to enter a password each time the PC boots. If the password is correct, the encryption/decryption engine activates and the user operates the PC normally. As data is read from the hard disk Encryption Plus automatically decrypts the data before it is loaded into memory. When data is written from RAM back to the hard drive it is automatically encrypted. This "on the fly" encryption/decryption process means that users don't need to remember to decrypt or re-encrypt their data. If a user forgets their password they can contact their Help Desk or an Administrator for a One Time Password.

If a user leaves the organization, the encrypted data on the PC can be easily recovered by an administrator by using a Master Password which can be set-up during the initial installation.
